On Friday, September 29 (6:00–11:30 pm), we will take part in the open night dedicated to research and innovation at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, as part of the Co.Science project

We consider Research & Development one of the strategic assets of our growth and we enthusiastically joined the event promoted by the National Museum of Science and Technology. The evening is free and features a rich program of meetings, workshops and activities designed for anyone interested in discovering the latest trends in scientific innovation and learning more about the work of researchers.

During the Open Night, researchers from the Camozzi Research Center (CRC) will present the Smart Gripper, an “intelligent” pneumatic gripper developed in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT).

This highly innovative solution has been conceived as a true platform capable of interacting with the environment, collecting and processing data, and communicating with the user. The product integrates advanced mechanics and big data through digital applications based on IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and Artificial Intelligence, developed through sophisticated algorithms in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano.

During the Researchers’ Night, the “Contour Following” application will be showcased in particular, demonstrating the gripper’s ability to manipulate and move objects with complex geometries, such as a small flexible tube.

Our researchers will also be available to visitors to share their professional experience, explain the strategic role of research within an industrial group where innovation is part of its DNA, and discuss the challenges of the manufacturing of the future, increasingly digital, smart and sustainable.

The full Open Night program is available on the website of the National Museum of Science and Technology.
