Reigniting the History of Formula 1® with Thierry Boutsen

During the Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, we proudly celebrated one of the most iconic moments in Formula 1® history.
The event marked the 40th anniversary of the historic second place achieved by Belgian driver Thierry Boutsen at the 1985 San Marino Grand Prix, a race remembered in motorsport history for the driver’s determination and fighting spirit.A Triumphant Return to Imola
In 1985 we stood alongside the Arrows team as an official partner, witnessing firsthand a race destined to become part of Formula 1 history. On that occasion, after running out of fuel on the final lap of the San Marino Grand Prix, Boutsen pushed his Arrows A8-BMW across the finish line, securing an extraordinary second place and writing an unforgettable chapter in motorsport history. That extraordinary moment came back to life when Thierry Boutsen returned to the same circuit, once again climbing into his Arrows A8-BMW, now fully restored. The event was made possible thanks to the collaboration with Parabolica Racing, a benchmark in the restoration and race preparation of high-value historic racing cars

A Well-Deserved Tribute to Engineering Excellence
Over the three days of the event, we hosted an exclusive experience within the historic paddock area, offering guests a tour among vintage racing icons and the opportunity to relive the golden era of Formula 1®. A private meeting with Thierry Boutsen allowed participants to engage directly with the legendary driver and gain firsthand insight into the story of the iconic 1985 race. The Arrows A8-06, driven by both Boutsen and Christian Danner, was displayed in its original B-spec configuration, meticulously restored and track-ready thanks to the work of Parabolica Racing and CRCS
Celebrating Our Motorsport Heritage
This tribute was not only a celebration of the past, but also a reaffirmation of our deep and enduring connection with motorsport, where innovation, precision, and excellence coexist.
Our participation in this event reflects the same values that guide our industrial activities: engineering performance, technical reliability, and a passion for progress.
In celebrating the legacy of Thierry Boutsen and the Arrows team, we also paid tribute to our own heritage— a history forged by competition, driven by technology, and sustained by long-lasting partnerships
