Through the joint lab with the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT)—which has also relocated its main Lombardy headquarters to the same facility as the CRC—several cutting-edge projects have been developed.
This collaboration led to the design and construction of the four inspection and monitoring robots installed on the Morandi Bridge.
It also enabled the development of the hardware for the Smart Gripper, an intelligent robotic gripper later enhanced with sensors thanks to a joint effort involving researchers from Politecnico di Milano.
